Prayed and Answered!

The story of Jacob and Esau is so bizarre it must be true! Only families conflicted with love and jealousy could mess up their lives this bad! A father who lets preference become priority and a mother who allows her love to become prejudice against her own son. What is lost here is the story of prayer and answered prayer. A life offered then taken back to be spent selfishly.

You may think of Esau as a son who sold out so cheap or you may recognize Jacob as a conniving trickster who would lie to dad and exploit his brother's hunger. They are all of those and more! Sunday we will talk about God's Purposes and our Preferences as well as Answered Prayers and finally a great recipe for Old Testament 'pottage' which is red lentil stew.
