Bad Choices
“A test of your love for God is to examine your love for others.” Henry Blackaby
Making choices – everything from buying a car to choosing breakfast cereal. How do we make choices and know that we are honoring God? Sunday we will read the story of choices made by Abram and Lot. Generous choices and foolish choices. Even taking a look at the consequences of choices. Abram chose to go to Egypt – not a bad choice in itself except he began to make accommodations to stay instead of a 'sojourn' and return to the Land of Promise. Abram chose to let Lot choose. Did Lot choose wisely or poorly? Did Lot consider the consequences of his choice? How do we make choices – what are the Biblical criteria for knowing and following the will of God for our life? I will try to answer some of these very deep questions Sunday – don't miss this very important message on how to know what God wants you to do in the choices of our life.
