The Hypocrisy of Judah

Last week, the brothers of Joseph acted terribly toward their brother – without good reason! What led to that was a linage of men like Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, each with their faults of moral sin and deceptions. Judah followed those poorest of examples. This could also be called the Shame of Judah just as easily – Judah leaves the family, lives outside the boundaries of God’s protections and suffers the consequences of those choices. Sunday will be a delicate message since there are several moral failures and sins pertaining to marriage and infidelity. I will do my best to be frank without being crude! This single chapter sounds like a soap opera with a twisted ending – you will see the hand of God in protecting and judging the various participants. For us – a challenge against hypocrisy and a warning against moral sins. Truly an exciting and engaging story of failure and God’s redemption! Don’t miss this one!
