Matt 5:5 “Blessed are the gentle, for they shall inherit the earth.

Jesus preached the Sermon on the Mount so that his Father would get the glory for the way the disciples lived. His aim was to create a lifestyle in his disciples that would make people think about the value of God. And so, if meekness is what some people are like just because they always got beat down as a kid or because their parents never raised their voices or because they have some peculiar metabolism, then how would meekness call attention to the glory of God? Sunday I will take a look at meekness as seen in Jesus and provide us with a working definition of Biblical meekness. I will ask the question, “Are we meek?” as well as “What does that look like in us?” We may not always like what we see but we will certainly appreciate what we may become! See you Sunday!
