Mother's Day at Grace
This Sunday we will take a look at snapshots of Jesus’ life and his interactions and relationship with His mother, Mary. We will see as Mary hears from the angel that she will give birth, we will look at Jesus in the temple, and we will take a look at Jesus at the cross. The life that Mary lived was anything but what she had thought or expected. I’m sure that many conversations, plans, and dreams happened between Joesph and Mary before they were told by angels that everything would change! One thing that we see from Mary is faithfulness, love, and a life lived as a servant for God. Although we don’t see much of the details in the relationship between Jesus and Mary - what we see is a mother and a son that loved one another. From beginning to end Jesus cared for and loved His mother and Mary cared for and loved her son! Although on the cross He cared for EVERYONE – Mary was one He mentions specifically! I look to these verses and see a relationship that was NOT confusing or lacking or simply doing an assignment – but one of fulfillment and sincerity and love.
See you this Sunday at Grace
