What do these stones mean?

Sunday I will begin a short series on Memorials of the Bible.

Having just preached through Genesis, the stone Jacob raised at Bethel is fresh in our memory! God allows events or even gives us specific reminders of His works and promises. These memorials serve at least 3 special purposes and I will cover those beginning Sunday with Joshua at Gilgal.

The next two weeks I will jump into the New Testament and take a look at baptism and communion as memorials for the Church and each believer. God wants us to remember and gives us simple symbols to aid in that recall.

Join me this week online as we go back to the Old Testament and follow the footsteps of Joshua into the raging Jordan river and see God’s hand of care for His people – He cares for us too!
