It's time for VBS!

July 16-20th from 6-8PM

This year’s theme is, “Keepers of the Kingdom”! Kids will explore skits and songs and Scripture to create an evening of joyful worship, playful presentation, and fresh examination into the armor of God! We are engaged in an epic battle for the hearts and minds of our youth. Every day, they are bombarded with lies about who they are, who their Creator is, and where their salvation comes from. Thankfully, God has given his children armor to wear in this battle between truth and lies, light and darkness, good, and evil.

Kids at this VBS learn how they can be part of God’s kingdom through salvation in his Son and will be equipped with the armor of God to become Keepers of the Kingdom who stand strong in today’s battle for truth.

Kids ages 4-11 are invited to this amazing week!

SCHEDULE

DAY 1
The Two Kingdoms

BIBLE TEXT: John 18:37-38; Eph 6:10-14
TOPIC: We're in a battle between two kingdoms
MEMORY VERSE: “Finally, be strong in the Lord and in the strength of his might. Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the schemes of the devil." (Eph 6:10-11)
OBJECTIVE:   Absolute truth is true for all people, for all times, for all circumstances.

DAY 2
The Belt

BIBLE TEXT: 
Genesis 1-3; Gospels; Eph 6:10-14
TOPIC: Each child of the King needs to fasten the belt of truth
MEMORY VERSE: “Stand therefore, having fastened on the belt of truth, and having put on the breastplate of righteousness," (Eph 6:14)
OBJECTIVE: Build a biblical worldview to stand strong in the truth.

DAY 3
The Breastplate & Shoes

BIBLE TEXT: 
2 Kings 22-23; Eph 6:14-15
TOPIC: Put on the breastplate of righteousness and the shoes of peace
MEMORY VERSE: “and, as shoes for your feet, having put on the readiness given by the gospel of peace." (Eph 6:15)
OBJECTIVE: Put on what's right (Jesus' righteousness) then do right.

DAY 4
The Shield & Helmet

BIBLE TEXT: 
1 Kings 2-11; Eph 6:16-17a
TOPIC: Take the shield of faith and the helmet of salvation
MEMORY VERSE:  “In all circumstances take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming darts of the evil one;" (Eph 6:16)
OBJECTIVE: Guard against false teachings and temptations.

DAY 5
The Sword & Prayer

BIBLE TEXT: 
Matthew 4:1-11; Eph 6:17-18a
TOPIC: Take the sword of the Spirit and pray
MEMORY VERSE: “and take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God, 18 praying at all times in the Spirit, with all prayer and supplication" (Eph 6:17-18a)
OBJECTIVE: Be ready to answer for the hope that is in you.

VBS T-shirts 

The deadline for t-shirts has passed 

VBS t-shirts will be available for order online until June 21st.  The link can be found here to order and pay online through the VBS Training Event.

Volunteer Dinners  

Family dinners will be served at 5pm Monday-Thursday of VBS for volunteers ONLY. You must RSVP so we can have an accurate count.

Volunteer Training

Many of you will be participating all during the week of VBS. Thank you for signing up to serve! VBS training will be Sunday, June 25 at 12PM.  Lunch will be served as we go through the instructions together so if you are volunteering and cannot attend or have not signed up yet to volunteer, email Beth HERE so she can get you what you need.

Slime Giving Competition
We will have a giving competition where the kids can bring their change and vote for who will be slimed at the end of the week. Start saving your change and cleaning out the cars and couch cushions….let the competition begin!
