Seeking Christ - Old Testament Promises

What were they looking for? There are so many promises made by God about the sending of His Son – Jesus. The prophets were looking – the patriarchs were looking – the people of Israel were looking – how would they know it was Him? Sunday I will take just four of the many prophecies from the Old Testament and show you the unfolding of God’s promises for a Redeemer. How many are there? J. Barton Payne, has found as many as 574 verses in the Old Testament that somehow point to or describe or reference the coming Messiah. Alfred Edersheim found 456 Old Testament verses referring to the Messiah or His times. Conservatively, Jesus fulfilled at least 300 prophecies in His earthly ministry. I will only use four but there are so many more!  Join us this week for Seeking Christ in the Old Testament – I will be a great start to our Advent season.
