Scattering of the Church

1 Chron 16:24 “Declare his glory among the nations, his marvelous deeds among all peoples.”
Scattering is not without risks! Staying safe or setting still are not the promises of a Believer nor the options of Jesus’ command to us – Going! In this week’s passage, the Spirit sends Saul and Barnabas out as missionaries to travel hundreds of miles, preaching the gospel to new regions. This pair of traveling missionaries will sail the seas, hike over mountains, and enter new cities where they will encounter a magician, government officials, religious leaders, and much more. Missions is the method – the Gospel is the message – the outcomes are left to the Lord. Join us this week for the watershed message of the Church Gathered in Jerusalem becoming the Church Scattered all around the Mediterranean Sea and sent to the World.
