God With Us

“The Almighty appeared on earth as a helpless human baby, needing to be fed and changed and taught to talk like any other child. The more you think about it, the more staggering it gets. Nothing in fiction is so fantastic as this truth of the Incarnation.” J.I. Packer
Sunday we will continue with our theme for this Christmas - Emmanuel. For God to be present we might only think of Creation - the same way many acknowledge ‘of course there is a God’ - but is He here? Emmanuel goes way past the existence of God to the very personal presence of God. Christmas is not just the admission that He was here - like graffti on a wall or carving in a tree - He was here and He is still here! The coming of Jesus is the greatest miracle since the Creation of the Universe. The attendance of God with us is miraculous and monumental! Sunday we will take a look at the unusual circumstances of His coming and the very odd collection of witnesses who came to see Him. Join us as we celebrate Christmas looking at the manger and seeing the face of God who came to be Emmanuel - God with us!See you Sunday,Pastor Mike
