Sunday begins our Christmas celebration – I know we have not even had Thanksgiving yet, but this single verse is so big I could not do it justice in only 4 weeks. This Sunday is the beginning – the sending of a child and a Son. I will focus on this inconceivable miracle of Heaven coming to Earth in Jesus. There is no greater miracle – God becoming flesh. Even Creation does not hold the mystery of the Incarnation. In Creation God made all from nothing but the Incarnation is Something becoming Something else without losing Anything it was before – sound confusing? It is but I will do my best to make it just a little clearer so we can be in wonder together – a child is born – a Son is given – “UNTO US!”
