Come and See

Full of Grace and Mercy - Abounding in Love - Jesus, Messiah, Love 

- - Come and See -- John 1:35-42

From the beginning - Jesus is breaking all of the stereotypes of what a teacher would’ve been in that day, or today for that matter. The way that John describes Jesus (The Lamb of God Who takes away the sin of the World) and the way that Jesus acted was different than any other teacher who has ever lived. Even the way to John began his own ministry was very radical and different! 

Jesus was a master at asking questions. You can tell that from the very first encounter - Jesus was not going to be like just any other teacher! His desire was not for numbers, fame, or position. His desire was for true and intimate relationship with those to whom sought Him. He wanted those who sought after Him to truly KNOW HIM! 

Jesus did not hold back from sharing His life with those who followed Him, nor did He hold back from asking simply pointed questions. Again, His desire was not that we might have a better life, be more comfortable, become successful, or bring fame to ourselves… His desire was to walk with us, love us, and in the midst of this dark world - be the Light we always needed.
