Answering the Question, "Why?"

Why do bad things happen to good people? How are we to respond when life brings us something that makes no sense? If we live right, do good, and treat people fairly, shouldn’t life treat us fairly back?

These are difficult questions that all of us have to address as we live in this world. How we respond to challenging circumstances molds us in many ways. Our responses to grief, disappointment, sadness, and injustice determine, in very real ways, who we become in this life.

Does following Jesus make any difference in the ways we respond? Do the Scriptures inform us of solutions to those issues in our lives that seem unsolvable? Is there any intersection between God’s plan for our lives and the seemingly senseless things we encounter every day?
