Be Alert! - Mark 13:24-37

This is repeated 4 times in our passage Sunday – a warning to believers to be watching!  We have come through Christmas and celebrated the coming of our Redeemer.  Those without hope find all they need in Jesus – hope of life and life to come!  Returning to Mark I have stepped back into the final days of Jesus in His first coming and we find Him advising the disciples about His return.  So much seems so fantastic and bizarre – to the point that if anyone but Jesus was saying this stuff it would be ignored as ludicrous.  The reason Jesus was so definite about His return is so that none would be taken unaware.  It will be sudden and a surprise to a godless world – but not to us!  Join us Sunday as we venture back into the future as Jesus shares some details of His return – not a lot – just enough for us to be ready – be alert!
