Family Retreat

Walking with Integrity
Our sixth annual Family Retreat is coming up on August 26-28, 2022, at Cross Pointe Retreat Center – Lake of the Ozarks. We are excited for our church to come together to worship, fellowship and explore what the Bible says about our theme: “Walk with Integrity.”
Our speaker Tom Hufty will be leading us on this incredible adventure. We have a wonderful weekend planned and will be sharing more about the activities as we get close!

About the speaker

Tom Hufty

To say Tom and Rhonda, his wife,  are passionate about their family would be an understatement.  Likewise, they have a deep passion to help marriages and families work and grow.
Tom has been in ministry for over 40 years and is currently the senior pastor at First Baptist Church, Maryville, IL.  Before serving at FBM, Tom served in the position of Vice President for Collegiate Affairs and Assistant to the President at Hannibal-LaGrange University, Hannibal, MO, for 13 years. His early church ministry years were spent serving churches in the areas of music, student, and family ministries.
Tom earned his undergraduate degree from Hannibal-LaGrange and earned his MRE, DEdMin, and EdD degrees from Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Kansas City, MO. Tom is the author of two daily devotional books, “Time Alone with God,” and “180°” and two podcasts, “Point Taken,” and “Daily Devo with Tom Hufty.”
After leaving a career as the public relations director for a Christian university, Rhonda is enjoying some free time to spend with their six grandchildren. She also serves in various ministries of the church and developed a program and curriculum entitled “Wired to Connect” to help people discover their wiring and the gifts and platforms God has designed for each one of us. She enjoys speaking at women’s retreats and conferences, writing, and mentoring.
Tom and Rhonda lead marriage, family, and parenting conferences across the nation and internationally. They use humor and personal experiences to communicate their desire to “make Jesus look good” in everyday living.
Tom and Rhonda are parents to adult children, Zac (Nicole) and Mackenzie (D.H.), and are proud to be called “Poppy” and “Gigi” by grandchildren Emmalyn, Kaylin, Vivian, Pearl, Jack, and Maude.
