First Phase – Core4
All people who want to be a part of Grace Bible Church’s Discipleship Program should begin with this stage, even though they are the most basic principles of the Christian walk. We must take into consideration that we do not know where our disciples are in their Christian life. We often think that the time we spent at church can define the knowledge and Christian maturity that we have, but this is not necessarily true. Core4 contains four studies that EVERYONE NEEDS TO KNOW. The aim of this phase is for the non-Christians and also the training of the new Christians in the gospel so they are able to share with non-believers.
1. Growing in Christ – The Navigators
2. Milk – Positive Action for Christ
3. Dynamic Discipling – Dynamic Churches
This phase builds a stronger relationship between the discipler and the disciple. The discipler continues to teach and also serves as an encourager and mentor as his disciple begins a new process with someone else as his disciple in Core4. This phase also serves as a doctrinal basis for the next phases.
Second Phase – Growing in Christ
These are principles that all Christians should know for themselves and be able to teach others. Within this stage, the discipler can choose between three different materials: Grow Others awakens the desire for us to serve our neighbor and also to equip and empower us for this mission. This phase has a series of programs dedicated to develop gifts and talents, as well as programs that are already part of Grace's curriculum like Sunday School, Small Groups, Greek Lessons, SonLife, etc.
Third Phase - Grow Others
This phase should awaken the believer in Jesus Christ for the development of a servant’s heart, not with the focus on learning more for himself but in order to serve others: "Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly; in all wisdom teaching and admonishing one another with psalms [and] hymns [and] spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts unto God" Colossians 3:16
Join us on this journey and together we will Grow in Christ to Grow Others.
