Bible Studies

Starting on June 8, every other week, Wednesdays at 6PM

Led by Stacey O'Brien
Last fall in our class, "Jesus, John and John the Baptist" we discovered who Jesus truly is- Truly God, Truly Man. We delighted in seeing the Bible as one cohesive narrative of loving redemption, as we explored not only John Chapter 1, but the bible as a whole. Now we continue- starting in Chapter 2, verse by verse. John will illuminate how Jesus further proved His deity by the miracles He performed. Please come and join us (even if you missed last Fall- we will recap). Bring your Bibles. No other book required.

Led by Pastor Mike Burt and Mary Burt
(2nd–5th Grade)
Studying: An adventure of goodness and triumph over evil! Each night we will go over a couple of chapters and focus on how C.S. Lewis wove together a wonderful story with important life lessons drawn from Biblical principles. We will have word searches, illustrations to color, vocabulary lessons (1940’s British) and clips from the Disney video. Your kids will learn, they will grow, they will be challenged to be readers and thinkers.

Led by Adam Hatton

The full title of this book is Strategic Concepts - That Clarify A Focused Life, A Self-Study Manual Defining and Applying Focused Life Concepts to Leaders Today. The manual gives results of research on focused lives: life purpose, effective methodologies, major role and ultimate contribution. The concepts will be used by leaders for their own lives and for others as they mentor them toward completion of an Ephesians 2:10 life.

A 6-Session Study by Lysa TerKeurst
When hard times come and it seems God is deviating from the plan we assume our life should follow, we’re much more likely to want to tame God, not trust Him. It’s then that we begin to press into our ways and our own timing. No human can carry the weight of being their own god, but so many of us try.
In this 6-session study of 1 & 2 Kings, you can join Lysa TerKeurst in Israel as she honestly reveals the places of distrust in her own heart while exploring the deeply personal applicable Scriptures that will teach us how to truly trust God.
